Sire and Nothing? Pleez. Did someone say this was distribution-only? Can someone tell me what that means and what's in it for these record companies? I imagine: little Sire and Nothing logos on Warp records releases. How strange. One thing is for sure: the college radio station I dj at (KSPC 88.7 Claremont, Thursday nights at 11:59PM) won't play anything off Sire or Nothing. Sorry, Warp, but we're not all reasonable people. WAP72 Autechre's mail-order only... For sale, I accidentally bought 2. $10ppd, postage included to US destinations. kalib.

I'm having a tough time understanding the logic behind this. Isn't the music the same? A little logo will prevent people from buying this? Crazy... I can understand it if you wanted all the original Warp releases I guess. MC

I'll have to agree on that one. Warp has been licensing stuff to Wax Trax/TVT for years and their a pretty big label. I see absolutley nothing wrong with labels wanting to reach a larger audience. And I really like the fact that money from crap Marilyn Manson releases is going to be funding US releases of Square-pusher and Autechre. Hmmm....I thought Marilyn Manson was on Nothing (Trent Reznor's label, under Time Warner) not Wax Trax/TVT? Or am I confused because I thought Autechre were still on Wax Trax/TVT? Or has Nothing signed a deal with Warp to now release stuff from Autechre and Squarepusher here in the states? Rusty
