Not being sarcastic, but it seems that Ae has an extremely huge following on the Orbital and IDM mailing list and the techno, ambient, and industrial newsgroups. Just wondering if anyone thinks it would be a bad idea. I mean, think of how many less deserving artists have their own newsgroup or mailing list. Also, Autechre is extremely prolific. In 1997, they already released Chiastic Slide, Envane, and Cichlisuite and show no signs of running out of steam any time soon. I suspect in a few years, they will have a very intimidating discography and more than enough music to talk about. Artistic daring/growth/developement/depth? I think so. Great live shows? I haven't heard any complaints. Newsgroup or mailing list worthy? Let me know what you think. alt.music.autechre

It's a great idea for a mailing list, and a horrible idea for a newsgroup. From experience, it just goes downhill from there. --brett On Thu, 18 September 1997, at 18:39:56, Michael Shepherd wrote:
