So this past friday, I went down to Windows of the World 107 floors
up in the World Trade Center to hear the dust brothers. They
actually spun between a couple of really bad bands and I didn't even
know until I left.
Went to Plush for the weekly jungle party. Usual fair of Dara and
DB. Nothing real exciting.
Next went to hear Laurent Garnier spin. The absolute highlight of
the weekend. Alernated through minimal techno and progressive house.
Danced for 4 hours.
Next day was Mike P/Ken Ishii. Heard Mike P. play in the store for
about 20 minutes. Then went to Roseland later that night to hear
him again. His set there was very Dark and Techy Jungle. He played
some stuff that I didn't recognize off of Urmur Bile or Lunatic
Harness so I would assume it's new.
After wading through New Jersey Kiddies attempting to sell me glass
for 2 hours, I watched Ken Ishii perform. Some stuff was familiar
from Jelly Tones.
Left that Crack before Ken Ishii finished.
Oh yeah and I was the idiot with the the sky blue button down short
sleeve shirt who was dancing to Mike P's set.
