Saw Coldcut on MTV's Party Zone last night. Stumbled upon it while flipping channels. Missed the beginning, but saw a number of vids off the new Album. They were being interviewed byt Simone "bimbo" Angel, and in spite of her pretty lame questioning, they came across as easy-going , down to earth guys with a fair bit to say for themselves. The clips shown were: More beats & Pieces (as per recent CD single video) Atomic Moog 2000. Mad edits but not spectacular visuals , lots of Atomic bomb footage Noah's Toilet. really trippy female half sung/half poetic recitation over changing beats. Pan Opticon. Lots of fottage of M11 and other road protests being broken up by police. There was also a reference in the interview to "Beats and Pieces" having been shown earlier in the show - anyone see it? Anyway, only worthwhile thing I've seen on MTV since getting cable a month ago. later, np: Kool FM midlands J ^ Steady J aka James Skilton steady-j@geocities.com Autechre & SKAM discogs @ http://subnet.virtual-pc.com/~sk393820
