It's terrible that a listmember doesn't feel like he or she doesn't have
anything to offer the list. This whole exchange between aaron/biostream
and
others concerning recording gear got me a little steamed. It bothers me
when
people feel the need to flame others who aren't experts in something. It
leads
to the opinion aaron voiced just now; drawing the conclusion that he
doesn't
feel like he has anything to offer the list. The more knowledgable
producers and djs on the list should offer more positive advice and
opinions
instead of shitting on someone [and subsequently starting a flame]
because
they don't know the whole story.
I couldn't agree more, my response to Biostreams' comments focused
mainly on the fact that his method of trying to make his point
(language, general attitude) left a lot to be desired. It's important to
make all on this list feel like they can join in the conversation at
anytime... we don't all want to sound like a bunch of stuck-up, holier
than thou types! All that I suggest is that if you are going to post
your opinion on gear/music/etc. make sure it comes across as just
that...your opinion.. just what you perceive as THE ABSOLUTE CORRECT
ANSWER.
I myself will be the first to tell you that I don't claim to know ALL
there is to know about music production/gear/synthesis/life...I'm still
learning, and will continue to until my time is up......
