the strangest thing happened to me last night.... i was listening to biosphere-substrata as i went to sleep and somewhere in the midst of one of my dreams i noticed a distinct ticking noise tick-tick-tick-tick-tick. it seemed to go on for hours and in my mind i was trying to figure out what it was - a broken watch maybe the dog? i figured it was probably just a hidden track or something and went back to sleep. i woke up about an hour later all fucked up with some crazy dream and rolled over to check my stereo (with one cd started and midnight how could it still be on at 3am???). well friends, it appears that track 3 had been stuck on 1:37 for over three hours!!! weird night, weird dreams. does this ever happen to anyone else - a cd skipping all night before you realize "oh, that's what that crazy sound is"? shimone..... p.s. that autechre track id email was great! Mogwai : Biblical proportions Plaid : far too jaunty, I think I switched it off. Dancing in bed not conducive to sleep. Aphex SAW1 & Polygon Window: surprisingly easy to sleep to. Strangely enough. Beta Band : err, far too weird to sleep to.
