That's no surprise. Myself and many of my friends biggest complaint with Rocket 69 is that this guy is a complete idiot. Even simple requests like opening the case to look at a cd are a hassle for him and he makes it well known. Plus, he's one of those annoying people who thinks he knows more than anyone and has no time to hear the other side of things, especially when it come to music. I can't tell you the last time any of us went there to buy anything. There's no sense in putting up with people like that just to get some decent cds. MC

I was in Chicago last month and I think I saw this store. I walked from Reckless to Armageddon to Evil Clown and then on the way down the street (Halsted I think?) to Gramophone I saw this CD store with "FAX SALE" in the window. Is that Rocket 69? On Wed, 27 Aug 1997, Mark Conklin wrote:
