Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. =) I don't think I'd characterize Orbital's 'satan' track "limp tarted up disco", and I'm not necessarily a fan of everything Orbital has ever done. For "limp tarted up disco music" music look at 90% of the "dance" music covered in the Musik and the various DJ magazines. These magazines generally have some of the worst taste in dance music. I guess it's what's popular in the dance community though, so whatever. Maybe I'm a limp, tarted up disco fan for liking the Satan track....oh well, time to listen to my WHITEHOUSE records I guess - the ultimate tarted up disco music! =) T.

And let's not forget the Butthole's own 'tarted up disco' release, "Digital Dump" - released under their Jackofficers moniker (in the late '80s I think). dan.

A good album I might add. But currently, I think it's pretty ironic that Orbital's live shows are infinitly more acidic and satanic than the Butthole's, who seem like now they'd rather not scare all the little "modern rockers". They've come a long way from the days of showing penis reconstructive surgery on top of upside down Charley's Angels epsiodes.

Whitehouse are scrubbers!!! there is no tart there. mere prostitutes and cheap ones at that!!!!! (unless you buy their records!!) The buttholes surfers track was/is a classic, anything they did in the field of dance music I think can be taken as a jesture of sarcasm!! orbital, although I am a fan, will never mange to porduce the kind of movement the Buttholes did in their hey day. I know the musical styles are totally different but the sentiments can be similar through out music. -- Adam Sykes IRIS LIGHT fax: +44 (0) 1637 881543 e-mail: kinoeye@irislight.demon.co.uk Forthcoming Releases: i-LIGHT003CD AUBE - "Stared Gleam" i-LIGHT004CD SZEKI KURVA - "The Sound Of Dead Goats" i-LIGHT005CD MAEROR TRI - "Emotional Engramm" i-LIGHT006CD SZEKI KURVA "Fearless Vampire Killers" i-LIGHT007CD HOODLUM PRIEST "tba"
