Ok gang, this isn't IDM related, but I know you people listen to all sorts of
weird music just like I do. I saw a documentary about some southern pacific
island where a native was playing a 'juice-harp'...it's a little pipe that you
blow into, with a sliding cross-reed (like a cross between a trombone and a
violin) that changes the pitch. Does anyone have any idea where I can find
this used in a dominate setting within music? I've noticed that various
people (grateful dead, among them) in western music have used it, but I want
to hear more of it in context...
Any help is appreciated.
