To those interested, in:re a thread i birthed a month or so ago... Thanks to those who led me on the Tarkovsky soundtrack search! As promised, when I get the goods, I'll post my findings.. Glad to see others on the Tarkovsky search...see below. And boy, if you think *Stalker* is slow...good golly. Rent Andrei Rubleiv. Makes Stalker seem like a Jackie Chan flick. np: new Lisa Carbon quote excerpted:

Date: Mon, 11 Aug 1997 16:21:41 -0700 From: heileson@u.washington.edu (Thom Heileson) Subject: (amb) Hairsplitting/ Reviewing/ Stigma/ Stalker(s) I just rented Andrei Tarkovsky's movie _Stalker_, and must recommend it if only for the music, done by Eduard Artemiev. Warning: the movie is _very_ slow-moving. But the music, at certain points, is very interesting + innovative, a complex lattice of textural sounds... (I'm thinking mostly here about a scene on a train track, early on) Speaking-of dept.: I recently almost bought Robert Rich Lustmord's _Stalker_, which I since discovered was inspired by the film. Can anyone help with recommendation, or description, on this one?
