Hi, Did anyone review '15 levels of magnification' by Neotropic when it came out or the recent Amon Tobin eps and album? I'd be interested to see what people said about them 'cuz I really dig these albums at the moment, but can't get on to the list archives. Also: any reviews of The Big Chill: Vibes vol. 1 compilation? Cheers Rich

I really like "15 Levels of Magnification"...i was expecting trip hop, but found only a couple tracks that really fit the "ninja tune" mold...this is not a negative thing with this album thank god, and it is very impressive. The first track hooks you right in with a bad-ass attitude bassline and a bad-ass beat and then smooths it off, with moments of hardness and fluidity throughout...quite a diverse album. I would be interested in an Amon Tobin review...i saw him spin with Ninja Tune, but spinning and producing are too different to make any sort of judgements(although he did spin some really good dark drum 'n bass).
