I listened to both of these today and most definitely the Orb's Orbradio is way better. God, on AB V some loon put a track from AB IV at the end, I'll even note he spelled Analogue wrong, he spelled it "Analouge", I guess I'm the only one that noticed. Well back to Orbradio, have any of you IDMers heard this? I've got it and can put it up at someone's site if they want it. It's a 35 minute mix of some Orb stuff and some other songs like "Cars" by that one 80's bloke that I can't remember. It made my head bob more than AB V which the first few songs all have the same structure, Drums, pads, keyboards, messed up sounds. It's pretty disappointing. But BUT BUT there are like three songs that really stand out and they seem to save this but it still ain't good enough. I'm glad I heard it because I put up with Aphex's crap to get to the gems but I think this is why this wasn't released too many shear crap tracks. I think reviewers would say this is too uneven. Other point of Orb interest. What's this track called "Cocksville USA"? I downloaded this 10 MB MP3 file and have fallen in love. Why is this not in Lazlo's Orb discography? Does anyone have the track listing for AB V or Orbradio? I know you Orb buffs probably could figure it out by one listening. Rusty PS: Found a new place to buy all my IDM. It's in Normal, Illinois. It's called "Deadpan Alley Music". I stopped in for the first time yesterday and picked up "Lunatic Harness" and saw Skampler, and then headed over to 12" coutry and found both Envanes, two Photek releases. The guy there let me play the 12"s. I really don't like the Photek vibe, but the guy did. He played some Gerd stuff too, not bad, I'm still not convinced by this Jungle/Phreak beat stuff. I managed to get him to play Luke Vibert's "Big Soup" too. They had that on CD. I liked it, I know immediately that if I owned it I'd skip some of the tracks, cause some are OK but others are really good, but this is not as uneven as AB V. The guy was real helpful and he talked about how nice Sean was from Autechre when he met him. He really dislikes Aphex Twin stuff. He has a huge post of the RDJ album in his window but he markered a big Pentagram on Richard's forehead on the poster. He even drew the goat on it. I'm not a Satanist and don't really think Richard's music or personality or scene or anything of the matter is there but this guy at Deadpan really hates Richard. He says he's overrated. He had an identical poster inside that had the word balloon and it said "I am the Spice Girls' (pimp)" No pentagram though. Watch out the shop is overrun with college types since more than 90% of the store is Alternative music. Respect to y' all Rusty again....
