i'm having a hell of a time trying to get the local music shops around me (virginia beach, virginia) to order particular cds for me . mainly, i'm looking for squarepusher, ken ishii, fluke, and maybe some of klaus schultz's older stuff... among other titles... they're all telling me that their vendors don't carry them, etc, etc... www.modernmusic.com Modern Music seems like they are fairly diverse, and they'll hook you up... best US mailorder I've ever dealt with (even though I just ordered Skam 2 and 3 and got 3 and 7... but thats ok, cause I really wanted 7! maybe pj can even read minds!) www.sonic.net/~brap/slipdisc/ Slip Disc carries this stuff also and is reliable (unless you're attempting to order from my address =) Usually pretty fast (see last () note... all things considered, I enjoy his list and service enough to post his lists for him weekly, so I guess I must like this place...) http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/4thworld/ 4th World just plain rocks, though they're in Scotland and sometimes it takes time get through the mail... www.dropbeat.com great catalog, real fast and very understanding when the postal service has your stuff sitting on a shelf for a month and doesn't tell you and you're all upset that you don't have Squarepusher Plays... spinning... Check out Slip Disk Records at: http://www.sonic.net/~brap/slipdisc/index.html Jason (aka LA junglist 'MaxAlert') is a great guy (:-P) and supplies me with about 95 percent of all the shit I need (or want) every week. The prices are quite good and the service is great.
