allow me to shamelessly suck info from the collective mind--
1) can anyone give me some recommendations for good listening
(not dj) turntables? brands, models...i am not an audiophile but i
appreciate good sound (i.e. i'm not interested in $50 or $5000 'tables).
2) what are the names and approximate locations of some good record stores
in NYC (idm and hiphop too if you know about that sort of thing).
please reply privately to avoid pissing off the sensitive.
