FYI Elektro Fans: Drexciya is NO MORE!! "The Quest" 2XCD was their final release. They'll be a full interview of this in the September edition of Muzik mag. They say,"This is it. It's time for a change. It's time to prepare for the year 2000. Drexciya came and did what it was suppose to do. Now, it's time to move up to the next level" I say, "Wiki Wiki Wiki. Jam on." while we are on the subject.... I picked up this 2cd, which is very good as I expected, but on the inside there seems to be some type of socio- political statement etc. Apparently, "The Journey Home"=all Africans Americans are going to return to Africa? For a visit? Forever? This is going to solve race relations? I don't understand what they are trying to say....Does anyone? From an interview I read once, I thought UR had some really coherent, intelligent ideas...But from the little I've been exposed to:the above + the whole underwater race thing...it all seems kinda silly, somewhat lame, and very half-assed.... Excuse my ignorance if I am totaly out of line here...this is just my impression from the liner from the Quest cd.... please enlighten me.... andy

Everyone should get this set anyways...there's no excuse. It's cheap and it's dope as fuck. Underwater hard edged freakazoid electro that has as much in common with the Rephlex 'avant garde' as the Detroit posse. Put's the Jedi Shmights to shame in a heartbeat. peace Nate Nate Harrison Digital Magician Inc. www.digimagician.com nate@digimagician.com 313.994.7316

i think you have to understand their message on a metaphorical level, i equate drexciya's stance to the teachings of the rasta's in jamacia one of the foundations of rasta philosophy is "the journey home" to the rasta's spiritual birthplace - ie africa they maintain the black man cannot be truly free until he returns to africa, freeing himself from the oppression of "babylon" ie western culture bob marley's "exodus" the first man to walk this earth did so on that continent stuart @ 4thworld -- http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/4thworld/ check:newskoolelectronica 60min realaudio dj mix
