who ever it was that opened for piece of shit Alec EMpire were cool. I think they were called Red Alert, something like that. Very Slow Autechre Incunabula-esque stylee. I also like Uberzone (he's got some mad beats). There's some other local talent that I hear on KUCI (local college radio) that impress me but I always forget the names. Will keep an eye out. Rabbit in the Moon is great and I am surprised we don't see mention of him hear too much. I think the track he has on United States of Ambience #3 is excellent! later, g np: Salt tank

if you ever get a chance see Rabbit in the Moon live, they 're fun. they've also got a track on the Sunshine State of Mind (all florida artists) compilation that's good. That CD also has a track by my favorite local guy Q-Burn's Abstract Message, different sort of idm than RiM but excellent just the same. kris np- better daze remix project (including modus operandi by q-burn's am) 0 wrote:

well, they're not my most favorite style but I've seen them live probably 15 or so times cause they're local (tampa). The live shows are always fun. The guy that you saw walking around in the audience was Bunny. Huge, crazy with blond dreads. I've seen him dressed in a suit made entirely of glow-string-necklace-things that he started pulling apart and throwing out to the audience. He's got this reflective-mirror outfit that turns him into a giant walking disco-ball, potenially blinding when the spotlights hit him. And then there's the flamethrower. The actual music artists are DJ Monk and uyhhhh... I forget the other guy. They are probably best known for their remixes of Sarah McGolcklin (sp) and Goldie's Inner City Life. I don't know if they've got a full-length out or not, try their labels web site. (www.hallucination.com) hope this helps. kris -- temper's Tantrum http://www.magicnet.net/~revolut electronicmusiccultureinformation
