Hi. I recently picked up the "ReBlends" ep by the Herbaliser on Ninja Tune and really like it. Has anyone got opinions on them or their album (Blow Your Headphones) they could share? Also, has anyone in the US managed to find Kid Koala's 10" promo ep anywhere? All info appreciated! Thanks, Simon the not up-to-date np: The hum of the floursecent lights and air conditioner (sounds like a FSOL sample)

Hi Simon, I have "Blow Your Headphones" and think its a good lp...what mars it, IMHO, is the presence of rap (of which I'm no fan). In spite of that, I think its one of the better "Herbaliser" offerings. Good beats, typical Ninja slick production and nice hooks, in spite of the rap. I don't regret buying it. jeff

Only 3 or 4 of the tunes have lyricists on it. Plus it's tastefully done. Nothing like the bullshit they are currently calling hip-hop. Ah back.in.the.day(TM). Tribe, Black Sheep, NWA, Ultramagnetic, Pharcyde *sigh*. I really really like _Blow Your Headphones_. This one blew my mind when I first heard it. A bit more upbeat then other ninja stuff I've heard that really draws from a hip-hop emphasis. I love the last sone on the Disc. That outtro tune is so chilled out and groovy. freshie Paranoia: The choice of a Tech Generation http://silly.com/~tang
