I found this old electro-techno record by the "Knights of the turntables" called Techno Scratch. There is a paste on picture of these guys with an old Korg, 808, emu drumulator/sp-12?, and of course turntables. Who are these guys? The record is a perfect garage version of twilight 22 (same bpm as Electric Kingdom) era stuff. They scratch cartoon sounds and Herbie Hancock's Rockit. Similar lo-fi vibe as "What is a dj if he can't scratch (by egyptian lover I think)" Curious if these guys went on to become someone else...? Anyone notice how similar The System's "Sweat" lp from '83 is to Drexciya in terms of instrumentation and sounds? Is there any older System stuff ever released? Especially like "Now I Am Electric"... these guys later became commerically slick the same way Jonzun Crew did... too bad solenoid@europa.com <------+

reference quote (excerpted ): Great LP! I *believe* if you read all of the liners and label notes, you will find the roots of Dr. Dre and super early NWA. World Class Wreckin' Cru? Is that the name. Sorry, I'm at work and can't spot it... Electro fans: seek this LP!

It is just a worn out 12" EP with "techno beats" "techno scratch" and one other track that I found... not an LP. There are no liner notes, just a white sticker with pictures that is stuck to a die-cut white sleeve.
