I got e-mail from Sun Electric informing me that they were indeed on tour with the Orb. I'm with you though, I don't feel that the latest Orb album lives up to Orbvs Terrarvm. But Sun Electric would definately be great to see! So what are they like live? I am not all that enchanted with the orb lately but might go just for Sun Electric. Also anyone know the tix $ for the Chicago show? -- Mark Edward Bowen Warmed Breakdown mb@gettins.bche.uic.edu

Anyone care to comment on stuff by Jamie Myerson? Really good in my opinion. Heard a first track from a compilation called New York New School and a second one from radio listening. He seems to incorporate the piano sound in both as well as a sort of melodic theme into his tracks. Not ala Robert Miles, but still maintaining good depth in his music. david

Any comments on Ney York New School as a whole? Seems interesting and I definately would like to hear the Dara remix of Bambaataa's Time Zone project. Thanks, Paul wesley@interaccess.com

It's boring...you don't miss a thing. Much better is the remix he did for Dog Eat Dog which was only released on dubplate... Thaddi, un flaneur electronique --------------------------------------------------- Beauty exists only in struggle. http://www.haywire.co.uk/dhr/sonicsubjunkies.html

I've read the hype about jamie and think it's pretty much bullshit. I played a ovum/sony record release party a few weeks ago and they had posters up that had a quote from details saying something to the effect that finally there was a US junglist worth talking about. They kicked down a bunch of promos, some of which had a few of his tracks. These were promptly taken down to a local record store for some credit. His music is pretty boring, IMHO. Here's a quote from the crammed site:

The 12" they were talking about was 'Decisions EP'. Nothing special...except for being 'radio' friendly. word out, brock. np: Electric Ladyland IV
