Can someone with a scanner and the the two previous issues of the NME help me out? Last week there was a big review of a Squarepusher gig and a really nice pic (the glastonbury issue) & the week before they had a Glastonbury preview issue that had some pretty hillarious cartoons of Squarepusher and afx. I'd like to get this stuff scanned for the Squarepusher page but I don't have access to a scanner at the moment. Can anyone out there help me out? It would be GREATLY appreciated and all your friends would see your name when I give you credit on the page. Oh and thanks to everyone who sent in the offers of webspace, i recieved MANY replies and I appreciate everyone's help. I think i'm squared away now but I may be contacting some of you in the future as the fresh web empire expands. Also, I don't write reviews really because I'm not a big fan of them but I just wanted to say if you live in the US and are into the stuff on Skam and Dot, fucking do yourself a favor and check out the 2 new records on our very own Schematics label. Brilliant music at a great price - wish there were more like them. And the moment all american trainspotters have been waiting years for is almost upon us (just wait and see). Start saving your money. Thats all I can say :) bye, _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm

Ah, but there are laddie ... and right up the road from ye. I am, of course, referring to the new shiny black Plug Research compilation CD, titled (as best I can tell) "Plug Research and Development PRIO-CDR1". With graphics by fellow IDM'er Tom Allain (luv ya babe, but I can't read this font fer shit (-: ), the tracklisting is (correct my typos please, Tom): 1. Smyglyssna "N. Jukfryst kor all" 2. Phthalocyanine "cassette" (Lustmord remix) 3. Wrench "Saud" 4. Nine Machine "9" 5. Low Res "Multiratio" 6. Ravens Over Venice "Pok Gentle" 7. TDS "Self Tapper" 8. Phthalocynanine "Warship:" 9. N. R. Hazeltine "Raspus (and round)" 10. Smyglyssna "Om Partiklar Och Lyktstolpar" A couple of tracks are licensed but most are home-grown L.A. talent. (Wrench is Allen's, co-label owner, solo project; Low Res is Danny who was formerly the head of Sublime's presence in the US, Phthalocynanine is Dimitri, another local chap) I've been critical of Plug Research's output in the past because I've found a fair bit of it to be too self-indulgent for my taste, but this one's a corker. Interestingly the locals output tends to be the best of it. Lots of high IDM content, I recommend it highly. There's also a semi-recent Lustmord "Strange Attractor" 12" on Plug Research for all you old Industrialists With A Clue[tm] to munch on as well. Miami ain't the only game in town ...
