I saw stealth in NYC. Kid Koala brought down the house... A super serious display of skills. although everyone else was great, it all was anti-climactic after Koala did his thing.... If the kid is coming your way you really don't want to miss it. Note to any ninjas listening: Now that kid koala is a ninja, hows about phoning up Fat City for a rematch? In a message dated 97-02-06 23:30:00 EST, you write: << Then the treat of the night was dj kid koala, who did some turntable tricks the likes of which I've never seen in anywhere in North America. Tracks were all hip-hop and dirty funk, ranging from 90-110bpm. You ain't lived till you've seen two turntables being backspun a quarter or eighth note each, to produce alternating beats from each channel. The sentence above barely does him justice, because in addition to his back-spinning and scratching, (which never missed a beat,) the killer was this: no headphones, during the entire half hour set. Not even to beat mix. >>

there also exists a song by kid koala on The return of the dj volume two but the track name escapes me and my cd isn't handy at the moment... btw: i was delighted by the kid's performance at the san francisco stop on the last stealth tour he leaves a hell of an impression (and a depression if you aspire to dj status;) the crowd there didn't move much either was everyone just dumbfounded or what?! my observation: nobody shakes it anymore... but "respect means motion." ciao, bRadventure

Don't believe Jeff Waye - its one of those Ninja tricks designed to fool the eyes! Action Records have Kid Koala 10" listed on this week's update and I'm sure others will follow suit - in the proper sleeve too and not a plain one; they've also got a CD promo of CTS listed for those of you behind the times who can't yet use vinyl! Happy scrabbling! you're crazy, surely these must have just fallen off the back of a truck or something...okay so maybe...just maybe some will show up in stores...somewhere (there's not a lot being pressed so you'll still have to do a little work to find one...but as I said before, the majority of them are being taken on Koala world tour) Jeff
