now at least 1/2 of my incoming idm messages are to idm@hyperreal.org instead of idm@hyperreal.org. i notice this because messages that have "idm@hyperreal.org" in their header are sorted to my IN.idm folder. it's always worked until today, when i open my personal inbox with 59 messages. any reason for the .org, or what?

probably because Hyperreal isn't a commercial business.. it's a non-profit organisation. and you need to prove you're a business (usually) in order that you can get a .com domain. __ __\ \ / /_\ \ \_____/ , m7=

The other way around pretty much -- If you want a .net or .org, it takes a little work, but they send properly formatted .com requests through an automated registry program. On Wed, 2 July 1997, at 02:30:08, The Rare Guy wrote:

what I'm wondering is why there is a global replace.. what about uuencoded files like this one: the following should be hyperreal. com, not .org [uuencoded attachment: foo] The reason for .org is because they're nonprofit, though.. On Tue, 1 July 1997, at 18:39:05, john/bergmayer wrote:

Instead of posting to idm about this sort of thing, ask any questions concerning the hyperreal.org changeover to "brian@hyperreal.org". He will gladly answer any questions you have about it. -- Rob Williams</>fEEd</>Tempest rw@goldengate.net</>tempest@hyperreal.org
