Well, being new to this list I would like to ask you all a question. Whats your favorite Richard James Album and Song? and... WHY is it your favorite? being fairly new to electronic music (only since last Nov.) I would like to ask the opinions of some more experienced people. I would have to say my favorite RDJ album would be Expert Knob Twiddlers. Yes I know this was both Mike Paradinas AND Richard James but still, it's my favorite. I love the sampling in it and to me the rhythms and beats are some of the most creative I've ever heard. It's like Electronic Funkadelic. I really love this CD. but I also like saw2 and ...I care because you do. (ICBYD was the first RDJ I'd ever heard) yes, I've also got some older albums, analogue bubblebath 1 & 3 and RDJ classics. plus the saw85 - 92. As far as a favorite song, I really can't say... I have alot of favorites. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer....

Album: Classics. Not because i think it is the best, but oh, the memories... Song: I've only said "this is my favourite R James song" once in my life, and it was for "Quothe" off the Polygon Window single(yes, drugs played a part in that). My opinion has changed since then, however. I just heard "Richard's Haircut". For those that haven't, it is a remix of Beck's song "Devil's Haircut". Simply put, it sounds like he took an outtake from "Richard D. James", then sampled Beck's voice, sped it up, but not to sync with the song. Really, really interesting. peace, adam

i don't understand how someone cannot like that. differing musical tastes, i guess.. i think that anyone who writes music or at least knows a lot about it couldn't be disappointed with that album. it is one of the coolest things i have ever come across.. ;) .... grav
