Does anyone have any more details on 'Final'? > I'd like to get hold of a CD. there have been two Final albums - er... _One_ (Sentrax UK/Subharmonic US) and _Two_ (Sentrax UK/Rawkus US) - both excellent - the more recent one (2) is unspeakably brilliant; also a CDEP, "Solaris" (incredible stuff; US-only - on Alley Sweeper), quite a few non-LP/non-7" compilation cuts, and at least one other 7". Broadrick has also released two 12"s as Solaris on his own label, Lo Fibre (UK). look for some more abstract Dn'B/dub-ish gear on the companion label, Hi Fibre. but i don't think any of these records have been released yet. or just try the Techno Animal records (Blue Angel UK/Virgin UK/Chrome GM) and the Sidewinder album, _Colonized_ (Virgin/Mille Plateaux) as well as the spine-meltingly hard (and weird) Sidewinder 12" on Lo Fibre. if you dug the 7", try _Skinner's Black Laboratory_, Broadrick's split CD (not a collaboration) with Blind Idiot God's Andy Hawkins - on Sub Rosa. you could do much worse than to check out any of (JB's pal) MJ Harris's LULL records - all on Sentrax. esp. look into the Harris/Laswell _Somnific Flux_ album (Subharmonic) some other things you might really dig: Fred Giannelli's _Telepathic Romance_ (S?kh?) any of the latter MAIN records (Beggars Banquet) Propellor - _Rame_ (Mark Spybey of :zoviet*france:, on Canadian label, Scratch. awesome packaging - i think it might have been a ltd. edition, though), and Mnortham/Jgrzinich - _Stomach of the Sky_ (Staalplaat) (hmm... you'd probably like MOST of the Staalplaat records!) any of the Disinformation (Ash International) recordings any Lustmord, Aube, or Daniel Menche all the releases on Bernhard G?nter's Trente Oiseaux label. not much IDM content. sorry. but it's all great music. later- BR [VII]/ GuerillaG2-G4 bloodrush7@aol.com
