I'd get live @ glastonbury, just because it contains tracks from both of the other albums (maya & last train to lhasa), and the mixes are better. And it's live (if that's a bonus for you). Keep in mind I haven't listened to any of it very much. And, although he isn't my favorite artist, I don't think his music deserves to be called "crap", for that it is not. A little overproduced to be sure, but not crap. Although I do feel that there are certain qualities that can be judged; even though I don't like something, I can still hear the quality within it. Gonzi, Do yourself a favor and save this post somewhere, and read it again in 10 years or so when you finally realize that one man's mediocre music is another man's treasure. Or that recommending that someone else buy the music that *you* like isn't necessarily in their best interest. What good does it do to tell someone, when they're asking for people who like a certain type of music (or a particular artist) to recommend something, that their music sucks and that they should buy your music instead? It took me a long time before it finally dawned on me that the world wasn't the black & white of "My taste" and "Bad taste". If he likes Banco De Gaia, so be it. - Greg

Gather your pennies (you'll need a few) and buy the Ambient Dub compilations. There you go: everything worthy ever recorded by BDG. Don't bother with the albums. Ol' Toby seems to have lost his way after his first few singles. Oh, all right: Ambient Dub I: Desert Wind, Soufie Ambient Dub II: Lai Lah (Deeply Sirius Mix) Ambient Dub III: Desert Wind (The Satsuma Nightmare Remix [Original Rockers]) and finally Trance Europe Express III: Kincajou (a different version from the album) Maybe it's just fond memories, but these versions always seemed vastly superior to what made it onto his albums (especially Desert Wind and Lai Lah.) The version of "Soufie" that appear on the FutureShock video compilation is one of the most incredible songs i have heard!! On another note where is SonicNet based? I want to ask AE some questions but all i can find out about the time is the it is 4pm EST on 18th June. Which EST Europe, America or Australia? I'm betting on the USA, but I need to be sure. :) Regards, John
