the us labels are not alone in this respect, the best music i have ever heard was released on little labels from europe like weird dream, u-trax, phoq u & interferance who were lucky to sell 50 copies *worldwide*, with the uk market slowly sliding down the pan, labels now need to think 'global' & beyond their own territory's, the need to hook up and create a network to fight the majors at their own game is paramount, unity is strength remember... look at submerge for the correct way to run an operation distributors, shops, journalists & 'the man in the street', everyone can play their part either by posting reviews to magazines/e-zines/discussion lists, organising club nights, spinning out the records or just verbally spreading the word in 20 years time when people look back on this period of transition will everyone out there be proud of what they have achieved? my 2p stuart @ 4thworld -- http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/4thworld/ check the 'propoganda' page - interviews + features on black dog/ as one/ musik aus strom / jimpster / compost / irdial + more
