I heard something about a Plug remix ep coming out, I haven't come across anything about it, does anyone know who's on it, and what songs are being remixed? I hear it'll be out in approx. 2 weeks. Can't wait, though I don't think any of the songs on that album need to be remixed. In response to a few posts in the last IDM Digest I got: My favorite NYC Record Stores: Breakbeat Science (10th btw 1-2nd ave??) Satellite (great jones & bowery) Other Music (4th street btw. lafayette & broadway) Temple (downstairs of liquid sky) (lafayette btw prince & spring) Throb (14th btw 3-2nd??) Adult Crash (ave. a btw 4-5th??) (you'll have to look up all the exact addresses, sorry.) As far as MPEG 3 players for the mac go, I think the best has to be the most recent version of SoundApp because it is a robust program that handles many different formats. The only drawback I can think of is that the MPEG layer 1, 2, and 3 option requires a power mac. You can download it at: http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~franke/SoundApp/ I'm not associated with sound app or any of the stores I've mentioned. I'm just putting in my 2¢'s. Take it easy. -daniel now on: Fila Brazilia "Luck Be A Weirdo Tonight"

plug remix thing: it's got a track from poppa plus a new boymerang remix. out on blue planet. just got back from SF, pretty fun. Stores in the Haight were fucking worthless but did manage to pick up a free tube of astroglide and the anti ep on CD, brand new, still sealed and all for 8.98 (sorry Steve, i couldn't pass it up). the virgin megastore there was pretty trippy. they had like all the rephlex stuff, weird to see a cut out for kinesthesia at ANY store let alone virgin. in berkley picked up dmx krew cold rockin with krew 12' finally, skam02, a few other things...pretty good. Saw mask 1 but i didn't pick it up. went to dropbeat in berkley and that was fucking an amazing store. they have everything, perfectly laid out, everything in nice plastic bags. brillaint, the perfect store and everything is priced very fairly. traded trainspotting tales with bobby@dropbeat and saw him spin at a show on friday night. me and my brother were the only ones in the audience...oh and some guy that was trying to look exactly like afx. dropbeat rocks. btw, anyone going to see Boymerang spin tonite in LA? I'm too fucking exhausted to drive up there...a review would be good. Also, has anyone heard the Air/Jean Jacques Perry track on Source LAb 3? peace, _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm

Same here... SF sucked, storewise... managed to spend tons of money, but didn't get anything that I would have otherwise not been able to get... Speedy J Public Energy #1, Jedi Knights The Big Ones, We As Is (very cool), Scar Tissue TMOTD (industrial, but fucking good!) and what will probably be stuck in my cd player forever after now, Squarepusher Hard Normal Daddy... Hard Normal Daddy just blew my mind and is pretty much tops on my list with no chance of getting replaced ANYTIME soon... Bought a pipe too... Been several years since I used one, so I assume that I'll sleep very well tonight... __________________________________________ sfwd@sonic.net LToN DiY Noise.Ambient.Techno.Industrial HomeRecordings & Such 4 Cheap ($3) http://www.sonic.net/~brap/
