I love to make the purists cringe... A lot of talk of the infiltration of electronica into mainstream culture and specifically MTV has been ranted over the last few months. Aside from "Amp" (which has it's plusses and minuses spoken of incessantly on IDM ), MTV has also been featuring snippets in the between segments on normal prime time programming. Seen last night in between Hanson (!) and Mary Blige (!) ...* soundbite * .... Autechre, third track from Amber. Sorry I'm at work. I can't spot the name. Now all of the purists can sell their record collections. I won't. I love mainstream cross infiltration. I remember three years ago, MTV bit a Coil track as a soundbite. And they're *still* not in the Top 10. sorry if this is irrelevant to most people. I wrote:

no, 100.5 'the Zone', a formula station designed for the those who thought kwod was too 'harsh'. kwod once popped up on the auto scan far out in the bay area for me as well. very strange, it doesn't come in that well here... I myself listen to kdvs90.3 underground freeform radio from here in davis, though due to the currently down transmitter you won't be hearing that outside of a few kilometers from the station. They have one electronic[ish] show thursday midnight-3, which I have never heard due to the time (same idea). I've been debating going down there and starting my own show aswell (perhaps this summer). paull7_oquet warranty free http://www.mother.com/~bravopop ps. thank you for the comments Rob.
