It's a pop album. I suspect that fans' mileage will _definitely_ vary on this shift in direction, but hopefully he'll continue to release experimental/ambient stuff elsewhere. Listening to Scala is good preparation. I like it just fine ... there are some great tunes on it, and I like Zoe's voice. My only complaint is that, pop album or not, it's pretty conservative stuff coming from Mark ... not much dynamic variation or challenging material. This is probably a great career move, as he's obviously got a talent for production and songwriting. --Seofon
