Tried this disc after seeing it mentioned on numerous occasions, and I have to say it is quite good - one of the most engaging and surprising releases I have heard in a while. What's nice about the release is that this naohiro fujikawa fellow really has a knack for making the unmusical musical. Pretty atonal melodies that drift in and out with noise added. Some of the percussion has this weird sound to it which is similar to the sound of my old farting DR-660. Lots of random freaky noises. My favorite is the fifth track "bit 2" which has these warped synth textures and percussion that sounds like icicles shattering in the background. Lovely stuff. As far as similar releases, I'd say kind Atom Heart-ish, but with more of a jazz sensibility and more dreamy textures. GD

There's a brand new Bisk album due out next week - _Strange or Funny Ha Ha?_ on Sub Rosa. _Time_ was probably my favorite IDM album from last year and my hopes are very high for this new one. Think Elfish Echo, Black Dog, Atom Heart. Miles
