The New Media section of the International Montreal Festival for Cinema and
New Medias, 5 to 15 of june is currently ending its program.
I will forward final decisions to all of you who posted us a complete proposals.
Already sure are the presence in Montreal of Thomas Koner and Jurgen Rebble
who will interact between Koner music scores and Rebble live manipulation
of film tapes.
We will alos be directly connected through the net with Sonar, we are
currently working on an happening between David Kristian on this side of
the ocean and Sensorband (Atau Tanaka and Zbigniew Karkovsky) in
Spain.....
That's all I know for now..
Concerning the Media Lounge, which will be located on St Laurent , main
Montreal street, in an open place directly on the pavement, and where will
take place New Medias performances and events, we are building thematics
DAT tapes that will run each days 24 hrs a days, on a high end audio
system, These tapes will help to build the Lounge atmosphere.
We are definitively willing to diffuse atmospheric experimental and
ambient, even Loungy experimental Jazz stuff (such as latest Latino Atom
Heart Experiments) with an important focus on the informations regarding
the live diffusion (name of artists, releases, and label).
I am personally also involved in the Internet tag team that will cover live
all Festival activities, including track listings of all DaTS we will
compile..
