Has anyone found it strange that Astralwerks failed to release the new Amorphous Androgynous full length called "Environments" last year. The strange part is that no one talks about it anymore, and there is still no street date set. I recall seeing it on a release sheet of theirs with the tentative date to be around April of 95. It even had a catalogue # (ASW 6141). I am fairly new to the list, so can anyone shed some light on this. rob

2 Fine New North American Labels... Dropbeat from California could also be known as the "electronic" imprint of the Slumberland label, hence the connections between the artists. Chessie (Dropbeat) features a member of Lorelei (Slumberland) and Downpour (Dropbeat) features a member of Hood (Slumberland). And the latest release, David Kristian's "Ectopic Beat" 12", features more of the 50's Sci-fi drum'n'bass that we have grown to love from our fine Canadian boy! Watch for his new 12" and full length release on discreet very soon! Also check out the Carpet Bomb label (carpbomb@aol.com) outta New York for their brilliant debut 12" by Microstudio! Anyone into this whole Spymania, Bovinyl, Blue Planet, Law & Auder... sound of unique drum'n'bass styles, should check out these two new labels for some fine releases this side of the pond! discreetly, l.b.

Does anyone know if the album enviroments actually exists? None of my friends have heard it, but apparently it was released just before Lifeforms. Can anyone shed some light on this? Where could I order a copy? Thanks Brendan

"Tales of Ephidrina" came out before Lifeforms...Environments *still* hasn't come out....but Tales...was apparently left-over bits of Lifeforms anyway. I have some parts of Environments on video recorded off The Chill Out Zone from MTV Europe when they did a whole FSOL section... -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

I have heard that the Amorphous Androgynous name is done. Some parts of what where intended to be on the Environments album show up on ISDN, but I'm pretty certain it is never to be. On Fri, 25 Apr 1997, Ben Coffer wrote:
