The only thing about this record to watch out for is to watch out that
you don't buy it by accident.
Believe me, folks, I'm a pretty serious Harris fan, and was therefore
pretty happy to recieve a promo of this from Invisible (the North
American label) a couple of weeks ago, but maaaaaan, does it *blow*!
I've never heard any of Transmisia's original material, but it's fairly
obvious that (A) it's really, really awful geetar-industro-rawk; and (B)
Harris didn't try very hard to cover up the source material with his own
sound. Aside from a couple of semi-interesting dub beats, and one track
where he removes all of the vocals, it's truly hideous. Ugh.
On the other hand, I *do* recommend another recent release that sees
Harris remixing a fairly standard industrial band: Sielwolf - V Remixes.
(the V=5, I think) If you dig Scorn, you will *really* dig this... it's
dark, loopy, dubby, atmospheric, and all of those other good things.
It's on KK.
