There's only one "Leave It Out" 12" as far as I know. Possible discog that I know about: DOSS CD 001 - QUOIT "Lounge" CD DOSS 12 001 - P.C.M. "Year Zero" EP DOSS 12 002 - ??? (possibly the QUOIT "Lounge" 2xLP? Or maybe there *is* another "Leave It Out" 12"?) DOSS 12 003 - SCORN "Leave It Out" EP DOSS 12 004 - SIMM (Eraldo Bernocchi) - "Nowhere" EP DOSS 12 005 - JUPITER CREW (Jim Plotkin) - "Jungle Concrete" EP DOSS 12 006 - AMBUSH "Gain" EP DOSS 12 007 - QUOIT "Tactics" EP I dig 'em all very much, except for the Ambush 12" which left me a little cold. Haven't heard the latest Quoit yet, I just picked it up today.

Which one? There's Equations Of Eternity (Wordsound), which is the pair of them with Bill Laswell, and Overload Lady (Sub Rosa), which is just the two of them. The first is more on the dub tip, and the second is dark drum'n'bass. I like them both, but I'm a Harris junkie, so YMMV. By the way, I just opened my mail and found a copy of a disc called Frigid Prose by a band called Transmisia who I know nothing about, but they appear to be an industrial band of some sort. The disc looks interesting, though, as it features tracks from their previous album remixed by Harris & Bernocchi. Could be good. It's on Invisible. Greg

I thought "Leave It Out" was a 12" on Possible by Mick Harris, so it probably is DOSS 12 002. What's the verdict on Jupiter Crew? I think this is the best possible release so far! Of course, I'm a bit biased since I totally dig his guitar and drum machine programming for Old (by the way, does anyone know when a new album is due by Old? I heard there were going to be female vocals now -- heavily processed of course). The "live" drum loops on the Jupiter Crew sound amazing! I wish more drum & bass artists would go in this direction. } I dig 'em all very much, except for the Ambush 12" which left me a } little cold. Haven't heard the latest Quoit yet, I just picked it up } today. I felt the same way about the Ambush. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't bring myself to buy it merely because it was on Possible. Lastly, I'm hoping Justin Broadrick (of Godflesh) will release a 12" or 2xLP (that would be nice!) on Possible. It seems like he fits in with the Mick Harris, James Plotkin crowd easily. Has anyone heard rumours of this perhaps materializing? I don'y know what DOSS _12_ 002 is but DOSS CD 002 is "Welcome" by SIMM. I only got this recently so don't expect a proper analysis or critique, but it's more slow weird hip hop in the Scorn style but a tiny shade more melodic - I like how he leaves the title track (and the welcome it implies) at the _end_ of the CD. Anyway I love this style of music. I'm also a convert to the Eraldo Bernocchi school after getting into Somma (can anyone else hear the dragon's cry ;-) . -- Chris Tourgelis

Yeah, it's killer. Really knocked my socks off when I first heard it. Wish Plotkin would do more of this sort of stuff, but I've heard that this'll be his one and only take on jungle/d'n'b.

Unfortunately, I didn't listen to it first, I just bought it based on the label. I'll know to check out any future Ambush stuff in advance (especially since the word I've heard on the next Ambush EP is that it's pretty weak as well...)

They're all pals it seems, so it's not unlikely.

Good, dark, dubby d'n'b. If ya like Scorn, you'll like this'un.

Oops, I missed that one in my original post. Yeah, it's good as well, albeit a bit *too* close to Scorn in places. A friend refers to it as "Zander Pt. 2". I wouldn't say it's quite that derivative, but still... Greg
