it is perhaps interesting to note that, in a recent interview in nd magazine, tietchens forcefully repudiated these early recordings as embarrassing experiments in "synth-pop," perhaps even implying they were done to earn a bit of quick cash. little did he know...i haven't heard them so i won't comment (although his recent collaboration with vidna obmana on the syrenia label is quite nice...beatless, somewhat abrasive, but nice). oh, and for those interested, the nd interview is online (and in full-text) at nd's website. i don't recall the addy, but if you do a search on his name and "nd" should be able to find it. sc
