*Actually*, the "woo, yeah"..".woo,yeah" is none other than the most sampled man alive: James Brown. This is taken from a song from, I believe 1973, with James, his crew (I believe at the time, The JBs) and guest female vocalist, Lyn (with on" n " ) Collins. The " woo yeah " is from a break when James says: "woo, yeah" and then Lyn sings..."it takes two to make a thing go right"...which is the inspiration for the Rob Base song which then appropriates the vocal line and then samples James vocal break. This is pitched +6, I believe. The track is called "Think". The original LP is mega rare and the re-issues are somewhat common. *and* the majority of work recorded by Bessie Smith was done well before the 60s. Her heyday was the late 30s through the 50s. bpm0@interport.net Peter Becker, Retail Sales Manager Asphodel Records, NYC phone # (212) 965-0265, FAX # (212) 965-0959
