Well ive got the LP of Objets 1, and the CD which includes most of objets 1 and also Objets 2. Objets 1 is incredible, three blinding Balil tracks (although the mix of Norte Route is far superior IMO on the Intergalactic Beats compilation.. .. but thats another story...) The other two balil tracks are lovely also, its a pity ed doesnt get off his arse and write more tracks like this, Then theres four great Carl Craig tracks under the pseudonyms psyche and BFC including the groundbreaking pantwetting chicken noodle soup and an ambient mix of Neurotic Behaviour which is lush. I cant remember off hand what else there is a couple of B12 tracks (redcell?) and some kirk D. stuff (as one pneueueuomynya or whatever). This compilation is up there with Virtual Sex and Transmat Relics... however i am in no way endorsing his product... much ;) Objets 2... well ive listened to it twice and forgotten it... not much to say really bit more B12 and Kirk D. i believe I got the LP a long time ago, and i got the CD in the Warp shop in Sheffield about a year ago, cot me about £17 ($27?), they also had the a repress of the vinyl of Objets 1 ... which they were flogging for £30!!! about £50!!!! and this for a new repress, its no wonder the VVarp shop has closed down... whats the story there g? did they really close down because they charged too much... i sure as hell spent most of my Student Loans in there ;) kF

the warp shop saga is a sad tale that has NOTHING repeast NOTHING to do with the label - they are separate limited companies. contrary to popular belief the shop lost money year on year. it's owner (who is a partner in warp label) decided enough was enough and took up an offer from Fopp (a small indie chain in scotland) to turn it into a Fopp franchise. it's still owned by the warp partner. it is almost impossible to survive as a wholly independent record shop in the current chain discount dominated climate.

tell me about it. actually most of mine went in to keeping bass generator records and volume records in newcastle solvent. i noticed volume had closed last weekend, when i went up there, which was saddening; and as for what they've done to kebab row..... :( g.
