If that's your only experience of the works of Carl Craig I suggest you seek out the Psyche/BFC "Elements" compilation, any of the 69 EP's on Planet E, any e.p's on Fragile/Transmat, the Landcruising lp. and More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art before you talk shite in front of a few hundred people again. And what does "conciously heard" mean ? I thought the "intelligent" in the name of this list at least counted for something. Simon.

I'm gonna jump in here and suggest that he means "hearing something that is known to be by Carl Craig, as opposed to hearing some music without knowing that it's by Carl Craig, such as at a club or on the radio or blasting out of a boombox"

So the consensus is that I oughtta check out 'elements'. Will do. Appreciate the honest & informative responses to my caution ('dont have $15 to throw at every single thing this list gives its seal of approval to). honestly, *homage* to the heads had never occurred to me - after reading the 'face' interview with CC a while back i got the impression that he might be one of those pseudo-purists, casting aspersions upon anything guitar-jangly-indie a la talking heads, the kind of guy who might mix tori amos for a buck but wouldn't necessarily like it -- as those mixes would certainly seem to indicate.
