Not that I am using _my_ Amiga. It's just collecting dust right now. :( So perhaps I wouldn't make myself too impopular by putting up a file in MP3 format then. Now, if you only could direct me to some fast encoder. I tried using something called l3enc on the PC, but with the high quality option it took a loooong time to encode. I didn't time it, but we are talking about more than 30 minutes to encode 3 minutes of audio. / Mattias -- Mattias Svanstrom | Email: mattias@isy.liu.se Division of Data Transmission | Phone: (+46) 13 28 1350 Department of Electrical Engineering | Fax: (+46) 13 28 1339 Linkoping University, Sweden |

that's about right. unfortunately mp3 encoding is a seriously cpu intensive process! you can buy a hardware encoder (audioactive sells one) but as it's several thousand dollars you might as well just get another PC and use it strictly for MP3 encoding. :) Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- System Administrator SpotMedia Communications

As far as I know, that's par for the course for MP3. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ::: Internet Music Wantlists: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo/Wantlists
