what is with powerpill, anyway? how old was rdj when he did the pac-man song? i have the record coming to me, for which i paid way too much, and i just got the only for the headstrong cd. i was expecting really bad grinding noise techno, but what i got was really bad house/rave/something. mmmm. he was 16 at the time the comp. cd was put out, so i understand, and it's as good or better than most of the other songs on the album and of that genre- but still. come on.

heh well for me it was well worth the money I paid for it, but certainly not for the music, which is why I sold it, cos I needed the money and since it wasn't the yellow vinyl, no sense in keeping it. I don't know what to think of that track. The best I can say is, it's really old. :D I dunno what else to say, it probably was a lot better back when it came out, err. something.. anyway, the vinyl's on it's way :) -- __ __\ \ Aurafix aka Hillie / PHD ^ DAMONES (aka Rare Guy) / /_\ \ http://www.clark.net/pub/buh/index.html \_____/ >> buh@clark.net >> < > .. >> .<>> >> > , m7= inducing mindwaves.. electronic techno muuusik controlled manually by a p h e x t wi n .. .. . . .

I just picked this single up on my recent visit to England in a small pawn shop for 2 quid and to tell you the truth it's really annoying. The song is based around the music from the game Pacman and has a decent breakbeat running throughout the tune. Actually the breakbreat is the same loop throughout the whole song. The disc also had about 4 other mixes on it by the likes of Mickey Finn and other's I did not know. I see the novelty in the song but beyond that it's pretty crappy, granted I may have been more interested when it originally came out, circa 1992 or maybe that was just the reissue? Anyway that gets me to the other part if this track came out when he was 16 wouldn't the year have been 1984, that is if he was born in 1968 according to his deceased twins' tombstone. I mean if you take a look at some of his pictures he's definitely starting to show his age, that is more like 29. Regardless, he makes some pretty inventive music and it's time for me to end this rambling paragraph.... ;-)

I don't think that was his twin. At least the things he's said in interviews doesn't add up to that. I think he was born later and that he uses the term "twin" loosely. -- __ __\ \ Aurafix aka Hillie / PHD ^ DAMONES (aka Rare Guy) / /_\ \ http://www.clark.net/pub/buh/index.html \_____/ >> buh@clark.net >> < > .. >> .<>> >> > , m7= inducing mindwaves.. electronic techno muuusik controlled manually by a p h e x t wi n .. .. . . .

I doubt it's even someone related to him...

The name comes from the fact that Tom Middleton (of ULP/Global Communication), who collaborated with him on the first Analogue Bubblebath 12", was born on the same day as RDJ. C. -- C.Hilker (cspot@hyperreal.com) "He was mesmerized by the light-pictures, and the music sent him right into dreamland"

I don't know what you're on about - RDJ was born 18 Aug 1971, so he was 21 when 'Selected Ambient Works 85-92' was released. C. -- C.Hilker (cspot@hyperreal.com) "He was mesmerized by the light-pictures, and the music sent him right into dreamland"
