Alright - I know fuck-all about turn tables (apart from 1210's are
considered quite nice).
I wouldn't mind some advice on where to start.
As in:
What's got
reasonable sound yet is reasonably priced (UK)?
Is second hand okay or is it best to plump for new?
Is replacing the cartidge of an oldish hi-fi turntable a cheap and effective way round buying a
whole new deck?
And other stuff like that.
I seem to recall a thread like this not so long ago but I foolishly
deleted it all rapidly in a slap-dash manner. Tch, the benefits of
foresight, eh?
