Hi Gerald, > Even though I didn't buy your last record,I think the > title of the album was a bit uninventive buuut to each > his own it might look "uninventive" at first glance, indeed a lot of reviewers completely missed it too. But "Music for Adverts" is a diss at what techno had become. From a music that I (really) thought could change the world, to a music that is only fit for the selling of deoderants at primetime. Swallowed, commercialised, and spat out again in the space of a couple of years. with jungle, it was much more rapid (like the music itself) :) the blandout point was reached at 3 months. "House is a feeling!". well, It used to be. > I'm sorry but all that U2 talk reallys blows. grin. > Some people, including my self, dont > really care for jungle....understand. sure, it's a free world. In the venn diagrams of electronica though, there is bound to be _some_ crossover. what *don't* you like about it?? > I mean why the hell is plaid > hanging out with Bjork... She could take them to a beach in brazil, and feed their ego dreams. While I could only offer them more uphill struggling.

ah, thats the point i was trying to make. I was appalled when somebody said there "wasnt an underground". Of course there is. There's a tonne of stuff going on. > I mean where the fuck are all my technophile friends.... have they grown up? (got a house, or kids) i lost a lot of friends that way. heh, here comes mad old ken with his fanciful notions of an electronic underground..

well, thanks for the input. its nice to hear a contrasting view from someone who's obviously capable of making up their own mind. I agree with you on a lot of things, but i'm going to hang around and try and make intelligent conversation for a while.
