I was watching a video the other week, and a trailer for some Winona Ryder
movie came on (forget what it was called) - but I'm sure I heard Orbital's
'Sunday' (or was it 'LC1'? one of those '92 b-sides) being used all the way
through...cool choice anyway.
I've only heard a snippet of 'The Saint' via a .wav file somewhere on the
web - not great, but still fitting into the genre (was it a reworking of the
original tune ala 'Mission Impossible'?). But it is public knowledge that
soundtrack work is something that Los Bros Hartnoll have been wanting to get
into for some time. So my personal opinion is that they are not 'selling
out', just achieving one aspect of their artistic (as opposed to commercial)
ambitions. If your opinion differs, fine.
Cheers,
Geoff
PS I'm on the Orbital mailing list, but I haven't received a digest in a few
weeks now - and I checked that I am still subscribed. Anyone else having
this problem?
