I must say the new Orb is quite good. I posted last week briefly when I first got it, and I've gone through it about 15 times since. Some people may not like it because it doesn't have the 'lazy' quality that the live CD set had or his ambient stuff has (which at times can seem meandering and self indulgent). Anyhow the new disk has the complexity that Orbus Terrarum has, but it is much more straightforward (ie the songs carry more of a structure.) Additionally, there is some strong drum programming, ranging from diluted d&b patterns to 'trip hop' tempo/house type rhythms (I was surprised because I never considered drums one of Orb's strongpoints.) The whole disk flows quite well, and is analogous in mood/tempo to STC's Emit Ecaps. Don't worry though this album is just as heady as Orb's past stuff.
