Phlangeface is a prankster, and every one of his posts to IDM is a troll for people who take him seriously. Ken Downie does seem a little high on the bitter and twisted scale, but who am I to judge... And given the brevity and indirection of Ken's reply I'd say he showed great restraint and good humor. I'd love to see a good pissing match on IDM between these two actually... the problem with flame wars is they're usually dreadfully dull. A real barn burner of a flame war between combatants of equal skill and intelligence is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.
