aftre listening to a local show yesterday, i remebered one track that stood out. i had talked to the dj before he played it and said there was a song coming up from the Blech comp. its a dark d'n'b track with some keyboard tones running up and down [goes for awhile], then towards the end there is this sample, "let me out, let me out, he's dead, he's dead. Help me David, where are you?" then a knocking and a scream. the sample has the feel of an old, old horror movie, possibly Frankentstein [1931] but i don't particulary remember the first name of Dr. Frankenstein. * a man without a god is like fish without a bicycle * ---jeff

that's Laughable Butane Bob, from AFX Hangable Auto Bulb EP. It's track 9 on the Blech CD. That "let me out! let me out!" sample was added by PC and Strictly, who mixed the CD. -- __ __\ \ Aurafix aka Hillie / PHD ^ DAMONES / /_\ \ http://www.clark.net/pub/buh/index.html \_____/ >> buh@clark.net >> < > .. >> .<>> >> > , m7= Do re mi fa so la ti .. I think this may be the Aphex track, Laughable Butane Bob. Could the sample be Isabella Rosellini from the David Lynch movie Blue Velvet ? ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: (idm) Blech track id Author: Jeffery Cohen <a057876t@bc.seflin.org> at UNIXPO Date: 3/15/97 8:49 AM aftre listening to a local show yesterday, i remebered one track that stood out. i had talked to the dj before he played it and said there was a song coming up from the Blech comp. its a dark d'n'b track with some keyboard tones running up and down [goes for awhile], then towards the end there is this sample, "let me out, let me out, he's dead, he's dead.
