Photek continues to deliver the goods with their new single "Ni - Ten - Ichi - Ryu" released of course through the virgin contract. Definitely worth picking up a copy if you are at all into them, although financially speaking it would have been cool if maybe there was 1 more track. The release is two tracks: A01 Ni - Ten - Ichi - Ryu (Two Swords Technique) 5m56s B01 The Fifth Column 7m08s On a slightly different note, the other day my roommate was watching CNN fN (financial news) and db (nyc junglist, a&r @ smile, breakbeat science co-owner) was on talking about electronic music, essentially attempting to explain the various styles, and even giving examples. It was a trip listening to jungle music taking over the airwaves on CNN fN as they went to commercial. Unfortunately the only reason they probably had db on, was to give big corporations the message that the electronic music genre is still a relatively small but growing market. So I guess since it's prime time to invest some capital in this market, as the year 2000 is coming up and all, this list will have a ton to talk about. I am terribly fearful of more mass marketed drum & waste...such as mr uknowwho also with the initials db. That's enough of my garb for now. daniel

Yeah, but that percussion. It's pretty minimal, yet atmospheric DnB, and has a dark menacing quality, so 'evil' is probably justifiable, although not a word I'd use. Personally I'm glad he's done something a bit fiercer than normal.

I was a bit wary first time I saw the video, but I bought the ep anyway, and it's a definate grower. I think the video fit's the track pretty well, has the same mood, and feel. Mind you, I wish there were a couple more tracks.
