i've been watching a new tv show on TLC (the learning channel) called Future Fantastic. It is hosted and narrated by Gillian Anderson (the x-files woman) and it is about cool inventions predicted for the future. The backdrop for each episode is very idm oriented. I've only seen three episodes but in those three episodes I've heard Irresistable Force, Dreamfish, Air, Higher Intelligence Agency, From Within and Bioshpere. Catch it. Anderson is actually recording songs with people that she has worked with there... can't remember the band she actually recorded with, but I do know that Download (or possibly just certain memebers remixed some of it)... anyone know more about this release? I get 1 station on the tube, but have people record x-files for me... According to ALLSTAR, X-Files star Gillian Anderson has contributed spoken vocals to a new single from UK techno outfit Hal. Anderson first met the group while narrating a television series, Future Fantastic, which Hal did the music for. They got along so well that Anderson agreed to lend her voice (a spoken-word piece) one of Hal's songs. The track, "Extremis" will appear on a Virgin Records dance compilation later this year. ......
