This record(s) is very, uh, midrangy and reverby. There is a neat heavy
reliance on effected 727 (latin drum machine) sounds. It has a sort of
"typical Warp production" sound to it. Not very muted, as more recent
Warp stuff is. What else comes to mind?...pretty good stuff overall,
Electro Fish is a great track and all of the tracks are very very mixable
with same-era Warp stuff and AI stuff. Seems like a lot of gated 909 bd
and odd electronic percussion. Only one kind of heavy plate reverb though
that is a little strong. Falls just short of "Doublejointed" EP in
quality; as easily mixable though and all tracks are similar tempo &
groove as Double.... I've always enjoyed knowing next to nothing about the
people that are RAC, it makes the music particularly easy to focus one's
mind on...
To answer your question: definitely not remixes, but probably made all
within the same month or two and definitely on the same equipment/mix/eq
sense..
