but who cares? call me pathetic. a few months ago, The Wire ran a photo of mika vainio & someone (c. vogel? it was illustrating a double review of Ø & vogel), and both were wearing panasonic t-shirts. White panasonic logo (the firm/the band) on a dark t-shirt, very sporty, snazzy. Now the question is, where can one obtain such a shirt? My guess was that they were, in fact, not band t-shirts, but "appropriated" from the panasonic corporation. Following that line of reasoning, I contacted Panasonic (the company), who (somewhat curtly) informed me that they don't sell clothing. any insights? ekku? a silly question, i know, but i've already taken the time to email the damn company...might as well see this through. phil philiphughsherburne brownudeptofenglish *providenceriusofa* 401 .453 .4116 -->our ears are now in excellent condition --john cage

Well, those t-shirts were really a band shirts. Those were available something like two years ago in strictly limited quantities. (true collectors item...) Best Wishes, - Marko Laine / Mind Records - http://www.sci.fi/~marko PS. And that other quy in the picture was most propably the other half of Panasonic, Ilpo Vaisanen...

Yep, it's like Marko says. At this moment the only Panasonic shirts in circulation I know about are the ones with the blue Panasonic logo on a white T-shirt and Sähkö's oscillator chart logo in the back, and I'm myself a proud owner of that one :) I don't know if Marko has any of them still in Mind Records' stock but you can always ask (marko@sci.fi / www.sci.fi/~marko)... I'd like to know myself if there are still Sähkö's black T-shirts and record bags available anywhere...? Oh yeah, and talking about The Wire: check out the latest issue with our Pet Shop Boys of electronic horsemeat rockabilly on the cover! :) ekku the maintainer of pHinnWeb - everything u ever wanted to know about Finnish techno scene but were too afraid of the reindeer trerra@uta.fi | http://www.uta.fi/~trerra | http://www.sci.fi/~phinnweb Are these questions testing whether I'm a replicant or a lesbian, Mr. Deckard?
